hey how ya goin my name is mick i live on the sunshine coast. i am reletivly new to the four wheel drive scene. this is my 82mod hilux so far it has 3inch lift sitting on 33 by 12.5 adventuros with front and rear lsd diffs. any comments and suggestions will be much appreciated cheers mick

Nice truck mate.... I guess you will be getting those tyres sandy almost every weekend. Can't go wrong with a lux. What have you got under the bonnet to roll those tyres.

cheers for commets it is powered by a 2l now but as of next week we are fitting a v6 ecotec motor should get it moving bit better

yeah clean lookin ol' girl mate. the earlier v6s are an easier converion too, more wiring nightmares an custom sump involved in the ecotec

Have a good look around and do a lot of research, there are a lot of other motors that I would put in before the commy 6. Look at the 3rz-fe (2.7) from later model luxes for a start. The commos are thirsty among other things.

just finished puting a commo v6 in mine goes like stink spins round corners in third need to learn how to drive it again uses bugger all fuel not a lot more than the old 4y
