Hi all

Have been on here for a while and now finally got round to putting up some specs of our 80!
Its an FZJ80 1994 GXL, bought it with 194k on the clock and now up to just under 215k in the last 18months (lots more trips planned so kms should rise nicely )

When we got it, it had a huge truck like ally bull bar (see pics), AVM free wheel hubs, reece hitch, a hiclone (waste of time that is!) and OE ally side steps and not a lot else.

It now has:

GME TX4400 UHF + handheld
Alpine ipod head unit
Fire extinguisher
Cargo barrier
Home made drawers/shelf system home to 80l Waeco slide and fridge
Dual battery (Redarc unit) with 105amp/hr Hybrid(?) battery (cant remember what it is now!)
Magellan XL GPS
Front OL Steel Winch bar
Rear OL Dual Wheel Carrier - this replaces the totally cr@p single rear wheel carrier that I should never have bought!
camp/reverse light (fitted today just need to wire it up!)
Custom electrics to rear with 10way fuse panel.
Lightforce XGTs
Custom headlight loom upgrade
Cheapo 90/130watt bulbs (v cheap and no good except for getting missus stopped on the Mitchell by the cops )
Alarm
Aftermarket Cruise control (not the best and looking to upgrade!)
33" BFG Mud Terrains
Boss Air Compressor
3" dobinsons lift kit + heavy duty springs
Rated Recovery Eyes on each corner
Usual Recovery gear
Safari snorkel

Items that I have and need to fit:
Air tank and hard fix the compressor

Wish list (in no particular order!)
Air lockers front and rear (tentatively ordered at the moment)
Second spare OE 80 GXL steel rim
Electric winch
Awning *
Roof rack (got to be low to still fit in garage * may not be possible)
Full seat covers
Maybe a long range tank
maybe SS water tank
Rock Sliders (ideally like to custom make them myself - gotta learn to weld first tho!)
Offroad Camper trailer to get out and see the State and beyond!
Extreme valve body upgrade to Auto
Twine shower
Headlight upgrade with IPF inserts and possibly Fatboy globes

And to think after owning it for the first 3 months we nearly sold it as it didnt go offroad.......now thats all it ever does

Cant see us ever selling it, sure it likes to drink petrol (currently drinks about 22l/100km) but with the above on it its to be expected. If the engine dies, it will be replaced with a diesel. A mates HZJ just died and its off for a 6.5l Chev V8, so I am eager to see how it turns out.

About 3hrs with a pressure cleaner to get most of it off, then properly wash it! :crazy:

Reverse/camp light is now wired up thru a 3-way switch and Boss compressor and 15l air tank mounted on top of the shelf unit in the back (not as stealth as I would have liked, so may move it to bottom of shelf at some point. (will try and get some pics up)

Few more items hopefully going in this week :thumb:

Front and rear air lockers now fitted :)

Just a few smaller things to sneak in past the Minister for War and Finance :waycool:
