Zoe, at least your getting your Zuk dirty..
Too many people use them just for tackling the Concrete Jungle..
Too many Sierra's and Vitara's are being used on the Black top.. not enough on the rough stuff...
I mean I asked one guy "When was the last time you used Four wheel drive?" Only for him to Reply " What? its a Four wheel Drive?"
OffroadZoe
06-11-2007, 10:41 AM
hahahah ye i no wat you mean i see so many suzies drivin on the roads instead of the dirt roads what anoys me the most is that people buy 4wds accept they dnt use them as 4wds i dnt get it why buy one if your not gonna use it rite
Magnat
06-11-2007, 10:44 AM
They usually buy them for the seating arrangement and room..
Hence why the Ford Terrortry are so popular, they offer the SUV room and size, without the 4x4 gear..(base models are RWD)
I so totally agree. if you don't get it dirty.. dont buy one..

Does driving in two inches of water on the side of the road warrant - 'gettting dirty'?

Waxhead, How many 4x4's have you seen around town that are 100% Scratch and dirt free... TONNES..
4x4's are designed to be taken off road.. and not many Townies do so.. they spend 95% of their time on the Black top
" Oh no I would never take my Range Rover offroad, It will get dirty"
This is the answer I get when I ask many Range Rover owners if they have been offroading...
Same Goes for Jeeps and Lexus LS470 and those other Lexus SUV's
they don't see the mud they were designed to drive on... EVER..'
Dont buy a 4x4 if its not ever gonna see dirt!
grimbo
09-11-2007, 09:25 AM
ah the whole don't buy a 4x4 if you aren't going to use it to suit my requirements in a 4x4 not yours argument.
because you know they don't need the 4wd to legally tow a heavy trailer, or that they need a 7 seat vehicle or maybe, just maybe it is none of your business why anyone else does or buys what they do. If someone wants to buy a 4wd purely to drive on the road, good on them, that's their business. Just the same as if you buy yours and drive on a dirt road and say you go 4wding, your business. Who cares whhat other people do. Concentrate on whhat you do and be happy with that.

Neatened up the bad mud spray over the bonnet, and got rid of the reflection of the licence plate and headlamp in the water. Cropped it a little to get rid of the front grill reflection.
The bit where the mud meets the bonnet could still do with some work, but hey I'm at work and only using MS Paint after all!

I think it only counts if it's a controlled wheel lift mate, not a snap-shot during an attempted commando roll ;) :D
There weren't nearly enough pics taken from Yawal, but that just goes to show that we were all having too much fun wheelin' to get out of our trucks to take some snap shots.
