hey does anyone know if a 97 zook front end (grill and lighting) will fit onto a 85 model sierra and if it has been done. Any help will be good . cheers

it has been done, not sure personally what is needed to do the job but it has been done.
probably a little bit of trimming on the car and grill.

if there's one thing i've learnt from 4x4 forums it's that everyone seems to be pretty handy with a grinder and spanner. give it a go and you'll figure it out lol!!:thumb:

no it can't be done, the coliy front end is very different to the leaf sprung models. Nothing lines, panels are different, etc etc

Not sure why or what you mean about bolting an 85 chassis to a 97 chassis? Makes no sense

I wouldn't think so, also you may run into a few problems registering it as the rules governing the body and safety issues are very different from an 85 o a 97. You may find that it is illegal to put an older body onto a new vehicle but you may be able to go the other way.

What exactly are you trying to either achieve or fix? More details about your reasons behind it will help with better answers. Also what state are you in as this will help with the legalities side of things

yeah rusty zook , its stupid. im lookin for a new cab now. have a look on my other thread in a couple of days and ill show you where im up to on the chassis. its good!!!

yeah im after a cab for my 83, i had one lined up but it fell through so now im buggred i have rego on the 6th of oct and hols in the cab my dog could walk through!, i also bought from the beach, not such a smart idea now lol
