Had my CRD Patriot since 14/9

getting great economy
very nice ride

still got to get a tow hitch and front and rear cameras to be fitted

its a softroader but has a locking 4wd system - ABS, ERS, traction contol and roll mitagation so should be fine for snow, sand etc

the rear is all plastic including the rear floor so easy to clean
all seats but the fold flat except the drivers seat
lots of fun to drive

Anyone else considering one of these ?

Tasar, Fletch had one at training today - goes ok as long as clearance is good. Did wombat holes and all the loop except for the logs.

thanks Tasar, I am trying to buy the patriot sports auto since the limited only has a few extras like fake leather seats, cruise control which I dont really use and the fog lights which is not that expensive and heated seats where I would never use either. Also I noticed that America has already released the new version of patriot with Chrome handle bar and a better looking front bumper. Is it worth waiting?
Also I spoke to some car sales guy in melbourne and he wanted 31k drive away price which I thought it was a bit too much.

the leather isn't fake - they are nice seats
you also get tinted windows
better stereo
cruise control
better steering wheel with radio controls
i think you get 2 more airbags now

we got out diesel much cheaper than a xtrail/subaru or crv and have no regrets what so ever

Americans get a different front bumper to us, we get the Euro 'run people over' bar...
And Tasar is right it is real dead cow, just reconstituted dead cow...
the 2 side impact bags are still optional I believe- getting a Sport CRD premium sound black- fitting KJ rims with cooper ATR tyres (itty bitty little ones....)
