What sort of money are they?
I had a drive of one about a month ago. Woman and her family got it stuck in sand. I was really unimpressed. Engine seemed to have plenty of stick and it sure was comfy enough with the leather seats and all. But the diffs were terrible and the main cause for it getting bogged. Instead of puting power to all wheels or even 1 wheel, it just shudders and puts power to all wheels on and off. How long have you had the rexton? Done much offroad in it? Would be curious to see how they go on other surfaces. Probably quite a nice drive on the road...

I think they have the same motor as in the Benz ML270CDI. Lots of power and torque. More of a luxury car than an off roader.

I believe you to be correct. I was told it was a Marc engine of some description...

hi,yes its the merc engine and box, very smooth on the power but i am having it chipped when shes done 5000 k. not had it seriouse off road yet but have been on the beach and up the dunes at lancalin and it was fine. the one that was stuck could have been the old model as the new one isnt long out,i think about 3 months plus you have the woman factor. i am well pleased anyway, rick. oh it was 42,000 brand new with 18" wheels and dual zone aircon elec everything ect ect ect.

I was looking for an automatic diesel wagon for the old lady. I wanted a Musso but there were only petrol ones available. The Rexton is nice but I'm not a new car buyer. So I wbought an import cruiser which satisfied my needs although an MB 300GD would have been nicer.
The banger in the Ssanyongs are built under licence in Korea and are not German manufactured I believe otherwise the Rexton would be more expensive. Thats where the MB vans are made.
