I have an 04 dual cab TD Hilux, when driving at higher speeds 90kph+ on a windy day I get this bad wind noise that seems to come from the front end, it is that voilent I can feel it through the steering wheel, it also happens when a truck passes me coming from the only direction (from the wind they throw off) the only thing I think that may be causing it is the gearbox bash plate as it's only bolted to the car at one end......any ideas would be great.

Oh phew, I thought you were on about serious flatulence :D
I have that issue after.....hmmm maybe not here.
Better get under her mate and start looking for the light from above. My advice, don't do any water crossings for a while!

Lol yes I have my bad wind noise from my rear end.
As for question, trial and error. Start by removing the bash plate and see if that makes a difference.

Has anyone else experienced this wind noise?
On the car I mean.

I did only through the top of the windscreen but nothing from under the body mate. I take it you couldn't find anything?

Have you got a front bonnet protector on?
If so try removing as I have had this problem - and yes it is friggin annoying.
Cheers

Try checking the in mud guards as they have a habit of making a hell of a noise when at speed but when stopped they feel ok. The plastic part seems to get wind behind it. Bloody annoying:crazy:
thanks

Well I took the bonnet protector off a few weeks ago and have not had the noise since, who would have thought a pissy little bonnet protector could send vibrations through the whole car?
Thanks for your help blokes.
