Is there a high output alternator available to suit a 3F motor (120 Amp +)

I understand the Alt off the fuel injected 3F is around this output but is extremely hard to find and expensive.

Do Bosch or Ingram make one to suit?

Has anyone pulled one off another model to suit without mucking around with brackets etc?

I recommend the universal 120 amp item that can be got from Repco. Cant remember retail price, but it wouldnt be too hard to fix up. Im putting one in as a second alternator on my 2H and my friend who works at Repco has one on his 351 F100. Hasnt missed a beat yet and they have 2 years warranty.
Having said that, there may be a direct bolt on upgrade.

Thanks,

I am currently looking into it all.

Does anyone know the output of the standard alternator on the FJ62 (3F)

Thanks

Any ideas how you tell how much an alternator puts out? Wouldn't mind knowing what mine puts out so i know if it is decent or not...

Thanks toy yoda,

Is there much jigging around with the falcon/magna alternator to make it fit?

Would there be a chance of you posting a picture of your set up or emailing one to me?

Cheers
Dave
