Has anybody had problems with a clicking noise in the clutch when cold. Suzuki have inspected the vehicle and replaced the throw-out bearing but the noise hasn't gone and is still there.

Sounds to us like a finger is broken in the pressure plate, but everything looks ok upon inspection from Suzuki. Vehicle has only done 90,000kms and no off-road travel.

If we could be referred to somebody in Qld it would be preferred.

Wife suburban 4wd. :drink:

Mine is an earlier GV, but has developed the same fault. It's a 99 model V6 but has only done 80,000klms. When I had the guys at the dealership check it over they came back to me and said they felt it was "normal".

I'm not convinced, but will be pulling the gerbox out in the near future for some other repairs anyway, I figure if it's anything major I might find it then.. :)

I'm so far convinced that the dealerships are useless. I once had my GV serviced there and the idiots put the wrong engine oil in and the timing chain rattle became very apparent. I replaced it with the correct oil and it ran fine.

I have an 04 and the problem has started recently. Just clicked over 95,000. When I do the timing chain ill have a look to see if u can see anything wrong.

The ticking only happens when its cold.

the clutchfork pivot ball is just getting dry and builds up with clutchdust
ceaning and a bit off grease soves the problem when clutch is going to be replaced but can be fixed with a spraylube by taking the dust boot of and spray at the back of the fork where the pivot ball sits.
we get this problem quite often and it's an easy fix.
jack, from suzuki in the city.

we get a fair few in with rattling chains.
is caused by faulty tensioner and also WRONG OIL!!
problem solved with new tensioner.
don't let yourself get ripped off! it's a 3 hour job! but most dealers wil charge you 6 to 7 hours.
it's something you can't do yourself unless you are a tech with experience with suzies
