Hilux Suspension Change

I have a 02 dual cab with a heavy duty suspension (leaves, t/bars etc) and 2 in lift. I'm not ahppy with the harshness of the ride unladen and whilst better when loaded doesn't like some corrugations and suffers axle hop etc.

I am thinking of putting original springs back on with coil overs and upgraded shockies like Koni.

Has anyone done a similar conversion ? and what was the result.

G'day dchilux, we are actaully chatting about something similar at http://www.4wdmonthly.com.au/forum/f44/hilux-rear-coils-42260/ . I have a standard 82 Hilux with Celica coils with the rear leaf springs. You could do the same, but I don't know how it would go with the 2 inch lift. Anyway, check out the above forum site and ask the question there as well.
