Can anyone tell me if they had slotted a early 90 model dash in to an early 80 model serria.We have the early model with the metal glove box and the dodgy dash, i picked up a commplete 92 ish dash and want to swap them over. has anyone done this and what dramas did you encounter...

hey, bet u didnt think id post something possibly useful in a thread hey but i did :p:crazy: anyway, found this stuff on outerlimits hope it helps, apparently u can fit the dashs fine but there are somethings like the heater assembly etc and welding on a few tabs here and there but can be done :thumb: so have a look at these if they help, hope so!
the general concensus from what ive read around the joint is that "I believe a WT dash will fit but brackets and possible heater controls need to be modded., " - sounds easy enough :) there are a few pics in these threads too! good to hear ur car is going again! check these out...

I like my steel dash, even color coded it when i painted my car. But i got rid of the instrument panel & replaced it with a vitara one when I put the 1.6l in, little bit of mucking around but it works a treat, taco and all.

do i need to change the wiring loom? all the terminals are different. do i need to change the complete loom for the newer model? any ideas
