View Full Version : ML Temp Seat Fix

For those that reckon the ML seats are rubbish like myself I
have found what might be a good temporary fix.
If you look at the back of the seats you'll notice the seams down
each edge of the back rests are actually zippers so if you pull the
tails out from the bottom you can undo them and get into the back
of them.
What I have done is to shape a piece of high density surfboard foam
and run a groove along the back of it so it stays in place on the lower
metal bar in seat where they lack support.
This fills out where the small of your back rests.
Hey PRESTO it is defiantly an improvement.

Hope this helps bms

thanks for the tip, BMS :thumb:

My thick sheepskin seatcovers made a big difference to the comfort of the seats, but still not enough in that lower back area - I'll have to have a gander at mine, altho I'm a little short on surfboard foam just now <eyes off the kids boogie board sitting in the shed since the last beach holiday> ;)

Cheers and thanks again

Thanks for the tip. I would just be happy to sit in mine, still waiting for them to fit my second ARB bar as the first one they sent was damaged. one F##### thing after another.

An ARB bar damaged in transit? Must have been run over by a truck?!! I hope your issues are sorted ASAP and you're back in the Triton soon higgo :thumb:

Cheers!

Subi, I am really not having any luck with this Triton, hopefully it means clear sailing when I eventually get it. I am not sure how you damage one of those bars but they managed it, the dealership say 15/09/2007 I will have it, but the way its going I wouldn't put money on it. They also told me the cruise had been fitted, but I found out last week that isn't correct either so that means another day. I really feel like naming names. I know more about whats available for the new Triton range than these morons do and they are the ones selling them. The canopy saga was the worst I won't go into detail needless to say I am now in therapy. :drink:
