Looking good Josh, I really like the Platoon green Tritons - your canopy is a neat fit and well colour-matched. I had a canopy on my last ute and it was very handy (although it developed bad cracking from severe daily corrugations and poor maintenance - make sure the locating bolts are kept tight!!)
And your Cooper tyres fill the wheel arches nicely too - I should have changed mine before I drove it home  sooo many lovely things to buy arghhh:computer:
Cheers

Thanks Subi,
I hadn't considered maintenance on the bolts, I'll run a spanner over then in the morning.
The Coopers have served very well over the 15,000 klm I've had them on. Can't fault them on any surface.
I know what you mean about buying stuff.
I'm ordering a Black Widow storage unit tomorrow.
Then the Safari snork when it comes out.
Then the bullbar (more money for ARB probably)
Then, hopefully the suspension companies will have their act together.
Add that to the tires, canopy, UHF, aftermarket sound system, custom exhaust (for sale BTW)
None of which I can actually afford.
It's a sick addiction and I need help.
I might be the first featured ML in the mags !
I don't even want to add it up.
Suffice to say I'll be keeping her for a while....

I'll be very keen to see how the Safari snorkels compare to my TJM one - I needed mine fitted at delivery to squeeze it into the lease price, but couldn't decide on a bullbar at the time and I'm still agonising over those options...
Don't worry about your exhaust, it's calling to me regularly and has now joined forces with a powerchip to mess with the insides of my head :o

I actually use a thick persian style rug. Took it out for the install. That's why it still looks reasonably clean.
No point doing the liner thing as I'll be going with a 2 drawer storage unit soon ish..

the ARB canopy looks the goods,a salesman at my dealership said the light in the canopy only works when the head lights are on ? not having alot of faith in some salesman I thought this sounded odd. can some one confirm this for me please. When I eventually get mine after the canopy saga I will post some pics !!!

depends on how they wire it up,the dealership wired mine up so the light only works when the parkers or lights are on,apparantely this minimizes flattening the battery by accidentally leaving the light left on when taking groceries etc out the back

So to turn it on, you'd have to first turn your lights on?
yeah.. that's going to be an awesome way to achieve a flat battery.
I don't get it.
Mine has a switch. on / off. and I'm happy about that.

Thanks Josh I appreciate the complement, and yes very happy. When i get my bullbar and some shocks i will be even happier. As for higgos question about the canopy light mine is hard wired and I cant understand why they would wire it up any other way.

I will let you all know about the light when I get it what ever happens I will get the switch activated locally. The headlight theory seems rediculous to me but it does not surprise me.

The Mitsu factory canopy doesn't even have a light!!!!! Not happy about that, I'm gonna wire one up myself, with switch and plug so that when I take the canopy off to put the quad in the back it's easier to disconnect.
The only reason why I can think of the light only being used when at least your parkers are on, because they are too slack to wire the light into a constant positive and doing it the easy way straight into the tail lights...

So Josh you would be trying to turn it into something like this I let ARB get to my Red Triton Ute (RUTE) and this is what happened (http://kap61.com/Rute) . I was glad I had done all this to my Triton as I have just returned from 2 weeks in the outback and I had a huge amount of fun. Most of the driving was on sealed road ( I'm happy to admit I'm a 4wd newbie but I'll get more game as time goes on) but I did take her to Chambers pillar and down the old Ghan so I did experience some outback dirt driving. And I LOVED it!! I loved driving in the sand and I have added a Simpson desert crossing to my list of must do's! Just need to talk my mate into coming along with me as I will not do it alone.
Can you tell me what you mean by "I'm ordering a Black Widow storage unit tomorrow"? Are they a draw system that you can put in the tub? Any idea if you can remove them easily?
