steering problems with my xj jeep

I own a 95 XJ jeep, when l corner hard left the steering some times goes heavy. I thought it might have been the power steering, but it would be doing it all of the time, which its not, just asking if any body would know what it could be.

probably the steering box itself. have a look at where the box mounts to the chasis and check for any cracks around it or stress marks. alot of the early xj had to have chasis repairs from the steering boxes falling out.

Yes l have already put a post to ausjeepoffroad.

I got a steering brace on my jeep, there is no cracks or stress marks that l can see. Hope its not the box, hard to get hold over here in tasmania. Plus it only does it when hard cornering, if drive slow, it fine.
