Hi!
I am looking at purchaseing a 2006 Grand Vitara in either a v6 auto or manual or maybe a 2L manual. Can anyone give me an idea on what the fuel consumption is like on any of these models.
Thanks

I have the 2.7L V6 manual and have done a couple of small mods but it hasn't really affected fuel noticably.
Suprisingly the wind and road has a lot of effect. On my first major trip of about 1600km (most at 110km) I returned an average of about 10.6L/100km, at a different time of year with lots more wind on the same trip I returned and average of about 12.5L/100km.
Around town I regulaly see around the 12-13 mark and City driving around the 11-12 mark but this all depends on your driving habits.
I found that it seemed to use less in the city green light race then it does in my home town, but I don't know if that is the driving or the quality of the fuel etc...
If you were to get an allrounder sort of a figure I would suggest you would be looking at about 12-13 regularly. Better on longer runs and worse on hard driving or low range type conditions (assuming it will go off road) obviously.
Hope this helps some

PS have a look at my build up thread to see some of what can be done if you are interested.
