I'm after a 3.5 or 3.9 V8 preferably with the gearbox and transfer case in SA. Does anyone know where I should look? Or have what I am after?
Also, can you let me know if the gearbox and transfer case is different between the 3.5 and 3.9 models? I'm building a project buggy and I've been told the early rangies have a 4.6 to 1 first gear and a good low range. Plus they have both output shafts on the right hand side which would matchthe axles I am using.
Let me know what you know.
Thanks.

Hi mate, have a look on Australian Land Rover Owners (http://www.aulro.com) and go into the markets, if there isnt anything in there post an add in the wanted section. Failing that they come up on ebay on occasions. Matt

I think you want an LT95 by the sounds of it, Look Pre '82 4 speed manual with a 3.5 V8 or a County

So these are the only ones with the outputs both on the same side?

Does anyone have a list of gear ratios of the gearboxes and or the transfer cases?
Also will a later model 3.9 bolt right up to the older boxes, or 3.5 to later model boxes?
