Camping / 4WDriving around Port Macquarie

Anyone know of any good camp of 4wd spots around Port Macquarie? I know some basic spots like Queens Lake reserve near Lake Cathie and out around Bago at Waughope. Any better spots would b appreciated.

a good camping spot at point plommer. north of the city centre

Go to a local caming store and get hold of a state forrest map on mid north coast covering hastings area, Plenty of camping and 4b spots on them.:waycool:

Cowarra quarry is good for a play. Some challenging 4WDing to be had around there. Also the quarry on the road out to Wauchope is good (on the south side).

Some good 4WDing to be had up there. Have to catch up when I'm up there next visiting the folks (god's country).
