Try Brian at 4x4 transmissions! 9 Katrina Ave Windsor Gdns, 8266 6288. I am dropping off my front diff to him this week. I have heard good reports about his quality of workmanship and he seems to be very knowledgeable.

Probly one of the best in town, but also possibly one of the least cheap?? Not 'Expensive' as such, just NEVER cheap! Good value for money, certainly! And I doubt you'll ever hafta take anything back for warranty on anything within their power or because of poor workmanship; it just doesn't happen, their quality control is second to none, and they will always advise on which is the better value for money choice in the parts selection! Good guys to have on the job when your life depends on them getting it RIGHT!

I've heard only good work from those guys too Peter, and they've been around forever.
4r4 I would say after 2 g/boxes in a month just get a Nissan lol, but I cant cos mine is sounding a bit sick at the moment lol.
Are you still running a Hilux G52 box behind the V6?
If so that is the problem, they are'nt strong enough for the torque and power.

I knew of a good trans place in Lonsdale when I used to work down that way but I cant remember their name.
But..........might be time just to get a stronger box. R150 or R151 or a supra box?

gearbox joints in Adelaide are dying every where there no where near the amount there used to be, funny theres heaps of Auto trans blokes though. Guy I know that used to do all of the ones we had come through, hes out so to speak, he has a workshop set up at home and does what jobs he wants, hes bloody good too!!

i got the g52 behind it, i had a look at my mates luxs last nite hes got an ecotec in it with the g52 boxs he doesn't do much off road, but he does lots of burouts and not to many little ones. the only problem hes had is a striped clutch plate the bit were all the springs are broke off.

If you are going to keep running the G52 box in the runner you can have the G52 out of my Bundy (still get shocks? ;)) only thing wrong with it is 5th. gear all the other gears work so would be a good box for a spare.
80s eh? Should be easy to find one but not with a lift and tyres like Clintons.
cheers

you can put the same lift and tyres if you want. just cost you heaps.

doesnt the bundy run ?Naaaah mate. It doesn't have an engine in it. The guy I bought it off had already sold the donk to a mate, it had a 2ltr 6cyl. twin turbo Soarer engine. Now wonder 5th. gear went lol. The original donk was a 22r (2.4 petty)
I got it cos I already had the chev and an auto for it, and it had the arb air locker and JT's too.
