I have an 2005 RA LT Rodeo Crew Cab with the 3.5 litre engine and it's pretty thirsty around town although, in the bush, I expect it to use a fair bit of petrol. Can anyone advise whether they have put the same engine onto a dual fuel system and if its worthwhile, mileage wise. I am thinking of relocating the spare wheel into the tray and putting the LPG tank into the space left by the spare wheel. I intend to fit a solid bash plate under the tank. Any thoughts?

Ive got LPG on my 99 R9 model.
The spare lives in the tub and the LPG tank sits well up out of the way directly behind the diff and I have a Long range petrol tank as well.
Go gas, you wont look back. Mines been on for 6 years.
Definitely get LPG valves though through Holdens, dont worry about the valve seats, they're already hard as ****.
The Isuzu V6's give very little trouble, even on gas.

cheers, sudso

I intend to do the same to my '04 Rodeo...I have been told that I must also fit an upper cylinder lube metering system lest the heads will bugger up...any comments?

i bought a 03 ra rodeo about 1 year ago on petrol and with in the 1st 2 months i was considering selling it due to fuel consumption. i put it on lpg and have never looked back.
o fuel i get about 14L/100k's and on lpg i get 18L/100k's.

I have an 04 RA V6 extra cab 4wd on dual fuel with a 115l(usable) tank on the tray behind the cab and have exactly the same power and conumption as on fuel- but at half the cost!
