I've decided to give my Prado a 1 inch body lift. Then all hell brakes loose. Motor vehicle registry came down on me so it has to be "a kit" lift, No home made jobbies. i have to submit it to the MVR body. (with pics) I rang a few places but because they dont do prados they said they can chop and change other kits. All good and well until they tell me they know nothing about Prados and what needs moving. so who out there does them (a link or phone number would be great)? As some toyota parts are the same i was wondering with a 1 inch lift would i need a steering rack extension, fuel lines, brakes lines, all those little things on modern cars that you dont see until you have them hanging out.
thanks in advance!!
P.S. I would have put this in Hardcore, but the prado aint exactly hard core!

Just wondering who told the transport about you 1" lift they wouldn't see it surely
Try this bloke his look ok and are priced about right too.
On Boost Engineering (http://www.onboostengineering.110mb.com/blift.html)
I wouldn't tell them nothing till they pulled me up and asked themselves.

Maquarie 4x4 will do kits for anything and will post anywhere...
I got mine from them and was very happy with the service, very happy to talk and make sure they're getting your order right, and easy to deal with, no mucking around. I recommend them. Give them a buzz, they should be able to help.
Number is in the directory of the home page...

thanks for all the info. denis is a mate of mine hence the big opposite lock sticker on my back window. talked to him today and he's also looking into it for me. i usually do most of the leg work for him when getting parts . then get him to order them coz i dont have a credit card. if anyone needs anything while they are up here go to him. as its a small market here most stuff has to be ordered.
