97 GQ RX petrol

Hi,
Ive been offered an auto 97 petrol GQ LWB on LPG with 250,000ks for $3500.. acording to redbook this is a buy but i was just wondering what i should look for in particular with the GQ. ive had a look around the rear windows and roof and there is no rust. .... Anything i should look for ?
its stock no bull bar or anything.

Mate for that price, if it's in good nick then you would be silly not to grab it!
Check in the rear cargo area and lift the carpet up to see if there is any cracks, but i doubt there is if it's completely stock. The motors are pretty basic, just check for oil in the water, any smoke, etc.

I would be wary of rust within the panels.

Check for cracks or stress signs in the front firewall, inner guards, under batteries, the curved opening in the inner guards, base of the 'A' pillar,top and bottom of windscreen, bottom of window frames in all doors where they connect into the door panel (particularly rear barn doors) and basically give the car a good going over for cracks or stress signs!! It is those that let the red cancer in, so if there is any cracking etc, look even harder for rust. You might be a bit luckier that most and find that the cracking isn't so bad in this one.

yeah thanks fellas it has no rust that i can see. My mate works for a used car yard and they traded it in... They gave the guy 10 but it only owes them 4..... so he said i can have it for 4 with a roadie....
