As I've just got a paj NJ with the 3500 engine the fuel consumption seems to be high, I get approx 6.5 - 7 kms/lt.
My question is dose anyone else have the same your is it just mine:confused:
Question 2 is, If anyone else has had is consumption what have you done to have it fixed?

Hi Fireboy,
The avg consumtion of the 3.5 is about 16l/100km, so your 6 or so k's to the litre is about right.
Not recommended to fit gas to this engine, so not really much you can do...cept buy a diesel. My NH got about 8.5-9l/100kms (11 - 12kms /lt).
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Guys
If that is the same engine as in the ML Triton, we are averaging 12-12.5L/100 around town and down as low as 9.5 highway cruising fully loaded. We have 2 of these vehicles and they both are about the same.
Cheers

hey 16l/100km isnt that bad for a v6
i get round 14-15l/100km in my 4cyl its just got to work harder than the v6 to get to the speed limit
-i found a big saver was sitting at 90-95km/h on the highway insted of 100-105km/h saved me heaps and theres the usual-ie dont drive it like a sports car, keep the car seviced regualary ie oils and filters
