GU Series 3 release date

I am looking at a 2001 ST GU patrol that is for sale. It has an engine build date of 11/2001. Can anyone tell me if this is a series 3 engine? The tail lights match the series 3, (top two lenses clear), so I would assume it is a series 3 Patrol. Any help would be appreciated.

Should have what it is on the plate on the firewall and also on its registration papers. I thought the revised engines came out in late 2002. Doubtless someone will correct me.
I had a 2003 June build which was a 3 series not that that helps you. Take its vin number in to a Nissan dealer. They should know

Hi Guys,
Found the answer to my own question. Ran Nissan but they were as useless as tits on a bull. Looked on the Red Book website and they lists all makes and models by year.
FYI, the GU Series 3 was released Oct 2001. So that make mine a Series 3. I also found out that the front grille is different between the series 2 & 3.
