View Full Version : How to install Steering Stabilizer to a Hilux

G'day all i've had this steering stabilizer for a few months now TJM was to install it tho they shut down and i have no idea how to fit it any help will be great

Mate its easy as unless your old one refuses to budge ( this can and does happen )

Its a shock absorber, undo both ends and remove, install the new one as the old one came off

I used the same thing, but manufactured my own mounting gear for it, using some matching size shackles and some heavy duty angle.

Hint: You can buy mounting brackets off the shelf at a lot of 4by places - probably a lot easier.

i was told that i'll have to while uninstalling the old one mark where the spring is than mark the on the new one at the same place then do it up untill that mark take it for a drive if it pulls to the left or right i'd have to move it exp if it pulls to the left i'd have to undo the spring move it back a little HELP lol
