Did the reckie for this yeaterday, & oh what a long day.
Set out @ 6:30 & went straight up.
Did not worry about setting camp as we were going to do the whole trip straight thru, just going quite a bit faster than normal convoy speeds (averaged about 40kph, as opposed to convoy average of around 25kph)
As we have done this track several times, we knew most of it was going to be straight forward, so we were mainly on the lookout for fallen trees & to check the tracks for the Sunday.
We did these first & there are some nice steep gravel sections, which with some common sense, should be no problems for all so far (we have a convoy of 5 confirmed so far).
Then from there checked the saturday trails.
We stopped for morning tea @ Coachwood Camping area & was joined by some of the local wildlife.

Creek depths were quite low, so minimal time was needed to cool dif temps b4 crossing (I still waited 10 minutes, just in case).
There was 1 tree down just b4 this crossing, but the route around it looked firm & we went around with no problems.
After the river crossing, we followed Mointain Rd up to Terrible Billy.
It is a bit more rutted & bumpy than last time. Still pretty straight forward though & a few woopty doos with a nice surprise on the other side (you will find out when you do the trip)

This pic is part of the way up Terrible Bylly Track.

Anyways, I am looking forward to the actual trip in late September.

Hey BT
Be carefull traveling with Disco's.
It ruined my day today >:(
We left at 7 am this morning to go to Kanangra walls and had a Disco in tow.
40 km up M4 and I noticed Disco in a smoke curtain.
Than I got a call on UHF to turn around.
What happend was Alternator seized and caused belt to brake which in turn caused engine to overheat and shut down.
Called NRMA and took it home.
There goes my day trip :(

Don't you hate that.
Not often you can get out on a good day, especially with the great weather we have been getting.

I hope all is OK with it.
I have found vehicles are never the same after an accident.

Yeah, there's always that rattle or something loose.
I hope this one will be OK as it's basicly just a scretch

My little Pulsar was never the same after being hit from behind.
It wasn't a big hit, but big enough to bend the rear towbar & crack the engine block of the Charade that hit me.
The rear suspension makes al sorts of sounds going around cporners since & they say they can't find anything.
Also it doesn't corner anywhere near as good as b4 the accident.
