Lookin and going good Scabbard!
I'm very interested in the Eaton blower mod ur going to do.
I've read on Capa's website they only did em for the 3.2 but essentially the 3.5's are the same motor with a larger stroke and/or bore.
They claim the Eatons only boost the power up to 185kw on the 3.2 but truck like torque from idle:D :D :D

Got any details of the improvements it will make on a 3.5?

cheers, sudso

CAPA Suggest that I should achieve 200KW+ at he flywheel with the addition of the Blower. Just attempting to confirm that this is also achievable with the stock exhaust. CV Performance have quoted me $7,700 for supply, install and dyno tune. Will need to acquire engineering cert also. Still awaiting on confirm for ADR compliance fo emissions and noise from CAPA. Don't want to spend $$$ and find out tha its not legal. Don't need the additional hassel.

Also I have been looking at the Haltech ECu with replacement stainless exhaust rated to increase the 3.5's 147KW to 172KW+ for 3,600. This may be a better option as the Eaton Blower may require an exhaust replacement as well (Add 2K) and the budget (ie wife's patience) is only $8,500 at this time. Yes the Torque increase is advised as across the rpm range. Also with approx 381 Nm at 3000 rpm with the Eaton I may have wheel spin issues off road. Anyone pray tell if I'm off on this one.

Any feedback would be great before I take the dive.

The 60mm lift was achieved by the installation of Tough Dog HD shocks 35mm bore with adjustables in the rear. Also HD rear springs and relacement HD Torision bars wound up. Approx cost from OP Lock Brookvale was $2800 installed. How this helps. If your looking to do the same and you tow camper trailers also fit Poly air Bellows. I found driving to the Gold Coast from Sydney at Easter that the back sagged only slighty however just enough to make the steering feel a little lighter than usual. Wasn't a big fan. Also the fact that my Hayman Reese Trailer Brakes had sh#t themselves and I towed 1 ton worth of trailer and contents 850kms with not brakes. Stopping in the wet was exciting to say the least.

Hello Scabbard,

Who sells the Global Sidesteps you've got? Can't seem to find them anywhere on the net.

Cheers,

The global side steps I got were from Holden (ie on it when I bought it). having said that the whole pack was not stockholden aftermarket, (Roll bar, steps and sports(nudge) bar). If you are lookin t them for looks then great, they did bend pretty easily te first time I got strung up on the washouts etc, hoever they bent back into place almost perfectly.
