 Yes we all are aware that the Aussie thing to do is "help a mate" out when he is in the shit, so it is only fitting that we install numerous Toyota recovery points on our Nissans to help out a mate:D hee hee hee

TOYOTA -----------------------NISSAN with Toyota recovery point

If the above has offended you or a member of your family or friend or distant relative in anyway either directly or indirectly as a result of Toyota ownership then I appoligise as it was not my intention at the time of posting this little joke and if you are still offended after reading this apology then may I suggest that you build a bridge and get over it!!

Usually Toyota recovery points are fitted to Nissans so that Toyotas can tow them when they break down.

Here's a suggestion, try fitting a Nissan recovery point so that you can tow yourself when you break down.

This post was not intended to offend, but was posted in jest and should be regarded in a light-hearted way. If you are offended by anything said in this post, then you should have bought a Toyota in the first place.

Heh-heh, the mods are gonna love this. Can't wait for the revenge in the Toyota section.

Keep smiling everyone.

Patrols come with a Toyota recovery point from the factory mounted in the rear step . They are on the back because the Nissan will have already got through the obstacle and has to pull the toyota through.

And besides, we ALL know that if you don't get stuck then you weren't trying!! And when I'm stuck, I don't really care what it is that gets me out, just so long as I get out!! It's been a very long time since I've been unable to proceed with a trip 'cos I got too stuck; but I have been pulled outta the goop by all sorts of potentially embarrassing things, even a Lada Niva!!

What the hey!! He got me out!! And we went on to have a great trip!! Same trip, same guy pulled out a fully modded, lifted, locked, and thoroughly unstoppable Toyota that failed to proceed thru the same hole that got me!! We both appreciated it, but since, I'm waayyyy more wary of bagging anything too much, 'cos it might be one of them that pulls me out the next time!

So don't be too hard on them, it might be a Toyota driver who finds you up to your bejaaysus in the goop and just begging for a recovery, and how'd you feel if they said, "No WAY! You bag us all the time on the Forum, Do it yourself!!"

But if they DO recover you, just make sure that when you get out (or better yet during/before the recovery ) you drive over their camera, or at least burn the negatives!! Don't want too much evidence out there, do we now??!

Here is one for you all, I was driving semi trailers at the time and had delivered a complete set of house wall frames and roof trusses in one load, you guessed it the rear drive wheels sunk while I was unloading, long story I could go on, anyway the owner of the property had an diesel cruiser and he offered to try and snatch me out so I said ok (I thought what the hell I want to get home and have a beer anything is worth a try right about now) well after about 5 goes at it he moved the truck enough so that I got traction and out i came thanks to the good old crusier, still luv my nissan and I reckon a nissan would have got me out on the first or second go. hee hee hee :D

Right on!
It's OK to laugh at, and with, others, as long as you can laugh at yourself too.
No make is perfect, they all have good points and bad points.

If only someone made a fourby that was as comfortable as a Cruiser, with the running gear of a Nissan, the oil leaks of a Rover and the "One" sticker of a Jeep. Life would just about be perfect!!

Here here nothing wrong with a bit of harmless sledging. Shows that your brand loyal . I've been recovered by Toyotas, Nissans, Rodeos you name it also recovered plenty myself . Like Peter said if you dont get stuck you aren't trying hard enough but if its a Toyota I'm pulling out I make sure they know what I'm driving , they'd do the same to me . All in good fun.:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I'm heading up to The Cape (York) next month, one of 4 vehicles, and will no doubt bump into friends I know will be there too. Being a civic minded bloke, and knowing that whilst there'll be two Patrols :truck: in our group, there's also a Prado  and a Four Runner! :cry:I felt it was uncumbent upon me to be prepared to effect the neccessary recovery of these toyota vehicles, and have installed the following device, to allow the fittment of a Toyota compatible shackle.

I just hope I don't get hoisted on my own petard! :drink:
