Engine mounts for 1.6 vit into 1L sierra

Ive looked but cant find any one who makes engine mounts to put a MPI 1.6L vit motor into a 1L sierra as the engine mounts are different to the 1.3L mounts. Im going to get an adapter from bent and use a 1.3L gbox. My engineer said he would prefer me to see if I can go this way instead of making my own.

I have ben told that the 1.3L Sierra gearbox may not fit in the 1L Sierra tunnel. I also have a 2" Body lift. Anyone know if there is ant truth to this?

I don't have any first hand experience in this but I do know the 1L sierra only had a 4 speed box whereas the 1.3 had a 5 speed so the gearbox may be a little larger. I currently have an '89 sierra with the 1.3L + 5 speed so if you want any measurements I can run a tape over it for you.

Ive been told that it will fit with a 2" body lift, so it should be sweet by someone who has done it:waycool: . I think im just going to cut off some 1.3L mounts and weld them to my chassis in the corect position for the vitara donk.

yeah im at nemingha, you may have seen my old ring driving around it was the gold 4runner with the lift and the 35's, but thats passed away now and the new project is the zook!

I made some adaptors for the 1.6L to bolt into my 1L mounts, And for my vit power steer :) Ill post some pics when I get sum.

Nar Roosta is me bro, and nar our 4runner has a blowen oil pump, and i wish my zook was the yellow long wheelbase, then i wouldnt have rust holes appering in it every time i start the mongrel!, come to think about it do you know what i have to do to strap a ute cab on a swb chasie? along the lines of a engineers? or to cut the hard top into a ute? and the 4runner that rolled was marc johnstons have a look on the shed under mudrunner the pics are on there!
