Hi I was wondering if anyone knows what a good compression range is on a 1hz 4.2 litre to fit either a turbo or a blower?? I have an 91 model 80 series with 350.000 on the clock, and is a bit sluggish with the 33's on. Not to mention towing a trailer.
cheers Wazza

I would be wary of a turbo at those klms. Its not just the compression ,but the bearings also.
The inj pumps on these can a bit lazy in old age and if the injectors are getting old maybe look in that direction 1st
Apart from the compression figures ,its also important they be within 10% of each other
