Mate I just done the same lift on mine
After doing it i had a vibration in my rear Tailshaft........Went to Arb and got a Gearbox spacer kit for $50 and fitted it under the g/box cross member and the vibration is Gone!!!!
I was told a LWB didnt need it but mine did!!!

My LWB GQ has 6" springs and the tailshaft doesn't vibrate , no spacer either.
A few metal plates with some holes drilled in them?
Did you change the length of the upper or lower rear control arms to change the pinion angle?
I thought the reason for the g/box spacer is for front propellor shaft clearance over the crossmember so it doesn't stop full droop on the drivers side.

What are you using to correct your castor angle, drop box's, plates or bushes? I used bolt on drop boxes and that spaced the gearbox down 8mm as they go between the cross member and the chassis. I run 37 mtr's and I have no issues with shackes or wobbles only a minor mod needed to stop the front driveshaft rubbing at full flex.

i havn t bought anything yet just checking out my options i ve got a few mates that reckon a complete kit from 1 manufacturer can be a lot dearer to buy than one that can be pieced together from several sources. i have seen spring and shock kits advertised for around $1000 but that leaves brake lines, panhards, etc to buy .i wanna get it up lol but i wanna do it properly as the old girl is still a daily driver that has to ferry 4 kids and the handbrake around .Any ideas ???

The spacer works, so does changing the length of your rear control arms. I've got about 8mm of spacing by default too when I put my drop boxes on. The only drama with that is that is the tail shaft sits a bit closer to the cross member.
It mainly to stopped the vibrations. It's something that isn't really gonna cause you major drama's if you don't do, but it's better if you can do it.

you should really put spacers in to stop the virbrations,, and try to pack your engine mounts to suit the angle of the gear box.. i only spaced my gear box 12mil and didnt angle my engine mounts.. so almost every 3rd or 4th time i went offroad 1 side would rip meaning i would have to repleace the engine mounts on a reguler basis,, now i have packed the front bolt 8mil and havent broke one since

we sell them at work. 12 mm spacer plates with longer bolts and that. this is to reduce the vibration in the gear box.
