i looked at doing this to a troopy before i decided on getting my 105 series cruiser. from memory your looking at paying atleast $15000 to do the transplant, could even be dearer these days as this was a couple of years ago i got a quote. if you send an email to LINQUIP in Gympie they will send you a detailed breakdown of what it will cost you. they are apparently a bit dearer then Brunswick (don't know where they are located, think W.A but could be wrong) who also do the conversions, i don't know how much dearer they are though.
look up linquips website and send them an email asking how much to do the conversion, you'll then see what's involved with the transplant.

yep they are in wa, town called brunswick junction south of perth. expect to pay around $14-16k depends on what nick the engine you trade in is in. ive thoght bout doing this to my 79series but for the cost id be better off selling mine and buying a new toyota v8 cruza

Yeah Rumpig. Brunswick are in WA - at Brunswick south of Perth just out of Bunbury. I recently sold a F100 with a 6.2 that was a Brunswick. Brilliant engine and pretty good on fuel, but an expensive conversion. There's a few 4wd's geting around Kalgoorlie with 6.5's in them - one anniversary model 80 series springs to mind - nice truck. There's also a Nissan Patrol tray-back with a small (not sure of capacity) Cummins 6 cyl diesel which I'm told performs very well.

Nup ,its a white one with OL graphics on it from memory. Havent seen much of it since that article.

No doubt the chev diesels make them get up and go but its hard to see the value when people start mentioning $20000+ for a conversion.

I asked out of curiosity about a conversion for my FJ73,1st quote was $13k and then later it jumped to $18k at the same place:confused:
