i dont know for sure, but i think on snake racing they have a u-bolt flip kit to do what you want. i can say i know what's involved but yeah.

quite a big job as far as I know...ext brake lines, x over steering arm, spring perch's need to be dead on, cut and turn diff housing at the knuckle to get correct alignment figures.........read, read and read up on everything you can find about it before you do it, but go for it!!

Ever wondered why you dont see SOA on the road in Perth? Its because the cops put you off the road as soon as they see it.
If its for dedicated offroad use ,well thats different. The only thing is, do you really need it around here?
I havent done one ,but if you read up on them they take a bit of work to get right.
If you want to go with some monster tyres then you will need lower ratio diffs to turn them.

Hilux's came out standard with a spring over axle.

every hilux has it done because they come from the factory that way, no mods are required to Spring over a Hilux. Also some other manufacturers will also have springover setups in the rear of factory utes.

maybe so but in this case they aren't charging a cent for the springovers in a Hilux because, as we have established, all 4x4 Hiluxes come from the factory with springovers

G'day Bloke,
Have a look at ih8mud.com and go to the 60 series section. Doing a SOA conversion properly is a big job. Cutting and turning diffs, cross over steering. To keep the vehicle in proportion you really need to run at least 36 or 37" tyres, so new diff ratios.
I reckon to do it right you are probably looking in the vicinity of $6000 plus.
Good luck.

Frank the dog "LOL" $6000.00, sorry dude but you are getting ripped off in a big way where ever you are getting your work done.
I have looked into it but have been advised that the mod is illegal in QLD, this being so i will not be doing it on my old rig. However, if this does not bother you and you are a little handy in the shed and have some time, it would cost you in the area of no more than 1500.00 as all you need is a mid/arc welder, tape mesure, cutting disk and get a few brackets fabricated to correct caster angles ect plus a new set of shocks and extended brake lines for the hight gain. the only other mod would be to replace the standard drive shaft with one that has been shortend of lenghth or made longer, not sure on the 60's for drive shaft lenght ect but the rest remains the same.
Have a look at this article....
