My swag is starting to show it's age (it's not very old but it's seen some miles) and i am thinking about a speedy tent to replace it.
does anyone have one? what are they like?
thanks,
baz

check out my reply in what tents are people using in campfire.
If you have quickly worn out a swag....then I think a speedy tent will not cut the mustard.
Have a look at tentcots as well, they are a good comparison but keep u off the ground .
Cheers Dean.

It's great for a quick tent and surprisingly roomy. Just make sure you don't force it trying to fold it back up or it WILL snap...

I've got 2 Southern Cross centre pole tents.... sturdy and easy to put up.
A mates got a 30 sec tent, a bit bulky (long) to pack but well built and quick to set up. The first time he set it up it took him 56 sec and that included unstrapping it from his roof.....

How much do these quick tents go for. They seem a little expensive.

My 9' Southern Cross was about 900 new and my 13' was 750 second hand.
I bought them for longevity though.... A young guy in the club used a Southern Cross 9' a few years ago in the snow... his dad had bought it second hand from the Scouts when HE started 4wding. It was still in top condition.

Blackwolf make a good 'speedy' tent so I have been told from owners. They are exy however (but you get what you pay for I guess). I have been looking at them but decide to keep what I have for the time.

My brother has a speedy tent. On our recent trip it broke (second time out). My swag is many years old, and is still going strong. Get another swag is my advise. Easyer to pack up, and stronger.

I have used the speedy tent EPE brand (there are a few brands doing the same tent) it is great quick easy suprisingly roomy but even if you are good an d gently with packing it up the one I had wore out through the floor where the pole runs the the pole starts poking out and your stuffed. No warranty it's general wear and tear apparently

I have one. I've only used it once but was very impressed with it. Really quick to put up and fold away (after a little practise). The weekend I used mine it pee'd down a few times but not a drop of water got in. I'm not sure I'd want to squeeze two people in it though. Very roomy for one.
