How hard is the battery cover to get off on an Explorist XL normally? Just got one today in the mail that i bought and can't get it off for the life of me. Starting to worry it is buggered.

Thanks mate. Got it sorted. Didn't want to force it open first time. All good it seems though.

Where's the best place to get one of these. If it matters I'm in the SE of Melbourne. Last time I asked there was some deal where for $1200 you got the whole kit....

I priced mine from http://www.prestigecom.net.au/ then printed the page and took it to BCF for them to price match it.

This may be a FAQ, but can the orientation of the screen of one of these units be changed from Portrait to Landscape?

I doubt it. If you use it sideways it won't be pointing up and see the satellites.
