G'day all.
Now I know not too many people would be keen on sharing that "secret" spot (though feel free to do it in PM! :thumb: ) but was wondering on some advice re: camping/fishing spots.
I've been to many places, but was wondering if people could share their experiences, pinpoint any decent spots etc where a nice little camp can be set up for a weekend of fishing. A nice track to get there would be an added bonus!
Most of the places I head are now struggling water-wise and/or aren't the greatest spots to actually fish. However, am having a weekend without "the boss" who's not the greatest fan of fishing, so need to make use of it while I can!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

I agree, its getting much harder now just 2 find a spot with enough water 2 fish in:cry: .Whilst fishing on the Goulburn I had a huge carp follow the lure 4 times & basically laugh at it,&no sign of anything else:cry: .
Talking 2 the publican at the Kevington hotel he said, thats pretty much par 4 the coarse around here. Hmmmm..... not happy Jan!
Seems thats just the way things r these days.
What areas r u looking at.
Cheers Dean.

if your going to the murray I'd surgest either above the weir at echuca or between the locks a mildura .......where ever you go hope you have a great time regardless of the ammount of fish you catch!
a bad day's fishin is always better than a good days workin!!
Sorry not in Vic, but if your up for the drive anywhere in the NT.
Thats my fav fishing spot. When i used to live Victoria the Tambo river had good bream in it just up from the Swan Reach bridge this was back in 1981 though

the caringal scout camp located about 30kms from Moe in a town called Erica has a beautiful camping ground and i river running through it, have caught some nice trout and redfin in that river many a time, it costs $5 to camp per night but you get showers and dunnys, and usually your the only one there, you have acres of open grass land surrounded by bush,, rippa spot!! get your waders and head upstream , heap of quiet places to throw in a line.. if ya interested look it up on the net you can call them and book a spot!!

Like he says, or you can try the Thompson River down Narrows Road.Once finished there cross the river head up Low Saddle Tk onto Beardmores back thru the river then onto the Thompson Dam. From there take your pick of some great tracks, huts, mines etc.Cheers Troopy93
