Cool looking rocky mate
Yeah, I'm kinda wishing I still had it and didn't do up my lux, cos I want something I can thrash and not worry about dents and scratches
OH WELL:crazy:

Nice looking rig mate you have a habit of putting a nice 4wd together regardless of brand.

Rockys are tough as nails mate, my girl friend used to have one, couldn't bust the thing. Reliable and simple, theyd be a great buy as a 2nd hand truck nowadays.
Great pics, good to see some old school still hanging around.

I had the rocky for about 3 1/2 years, and I got the lux in 2005 and sold the rocky soon after that

and also in between this my mrs had a SWB 85' Paj when we first started going out
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m249/bricki7981/pajero.jpg
Then we honeymooned in this 85 4runner - it was my brother in-laws, I actually never owned this one but drove it heaps offroad :D
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m249/bricki7981/4runner2.jpg
Then I got this 92 SR5 limited 4runner for $10,000....did some outback touring in it, blew the head gaskets on both sides, got a mechanic to fix it through a mate and it cost me $1,900 and then I sold it for $12,500 :D
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m249/bricki7981/4runnerSR5.jpg
that's pritty much all the 4x4s I've owned.....now I'm seriously considering selling my lux and getting a cheaper rocky and spending the left over doing it up......hmmmmmm maybe I'm just  but I can't stop thinking about doing up a newer Rocky and it shouldn't cost me anything cos I should have enough left over from the lux to do a lot to a newer rocky

yeah it's a hard decision, if you've ever driven a Rocky then u'd know how tough they feel to drive as well ;)

yeah :D people often compare them to a sierra - but they're more than 1.5 x the GVM of a zook....with an even more over-engineered drive line - diffs, axles, chassis, box, transfer, shafts - engineered to comfortably handle a V6 and they only ever had 4's in em - exactly what u want in a 4by......a lot of the parts are from the daihatsu truck department and a lot of others are toyota or based on a toyota part
I guess this all makes for a tough truck :D
