Start by asking your local retailers.. I wouldn't think there are too many in Mackay to ask so you should get your answer pretty quickly...
Failing that make some calls to the larger CT makers and ask them the question...
They may not be very helpful so if you have no luck make a call to Rod's Engineering of Maroochydore Qld... I don't have the number so do a white pages search... he is a good bloke and I think he would happily share info with you as to who and where to start looking. Rod builds his own camper trailers, which is what I have and it is a top unit. His input would of course be on a local basis on the Sunshine Coast but it should give you a good starting point to work from.

We just got one made by Heavy sew
www.heavysew.com.au
...they post all over Aust & because they actually sew the canvas themselves (ie not a cheap import) they can pretty much make whatever you want.
We just got the basic 16ft tent; added a few extra windows & an extra door onto the rear of the tent & a second awning.... very happy with the results.
Thanks for the replies so far.
i"ve looked locally, not much around. Will look at the people you guys have reccomended. Cheers.
Richshel; just out of interest, what was the cost?

depending on what your planned use is, I know the local camping mob in town here are advertising the fold open camper tops to suit your own trailer really cheap, about $2000, they are imported and the canvas isn't super heavy duty, but if it's only going to get used occassionally then the price makes them very attractive.
A mate of mine in Bundaberg will be buying a complete camper soon from a local manufacturer there for around $8000 for the complete camper, trailer and all, not sure if they sell just the tops for them though.

...you just need to be careful with these.... they are designed to fit a STANDARD trailer (approx 100-105mm high). If you have a high-side trailer like we do (1250mm) - these just won't work!
