hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a HP iPAQ travel companion mainly for its ability to load seperate programs on....ie tomtom 6 and seperate topo maps.
Has anyone had any experience with these and what to give me the lowdown...
I've done a search but come up with not much usefull info...
Thanks

Elliott,
I've had an RX5965 for a couple of weeks now & the tomtom software works a treat. In the last couple of days i've installed the oziexplorerCE software & my only problem is trying to find my way around the menus. There are some default com settings that need to be changed, other than that brilliant.
I have the old LPI topoview CD & converted the maps for use on the RX & no problems.
Jase.

Where do you get the OZiexplorer software, and what format do i need it in for the RX?
Thanks

Elliott,
I have only just started to look at this software so I'm still toying with the demo/trial SW. It can be downloaded from the oziexplorer website.
http://www.oziexplorer.com/. I understand is a fully function version but has an annoying pop-up and time limits until you register.
The RX uses Windows mobile 5 O/S so use "PocketPC_Setup.exe" link.
It can be purchased via the web site or try GPSOZ as a local retailer.
I downloaded the NSW 25k topo maps (see other posts here).....
