Yeah like that mate. It looks tough! So what do ya think of ute so far? Did you go for the Slush box or the cog swaper?

Cog swapper, it's the first 6 speed I've owned and it takes a bit of getting used to. Only problems I've had so far is the stock tires - I blew one on my first trip on the dirt, I've now got a full set of Mickey T's Baha ATZ's now :waycool:

The other thing is that the standard tray liner sucks, go for a spray on one or something similar, the one I have has warped after only a day or so in the sun.

Apart from that she's a pretty nice rig. Going to take her to Fraser in a fortnight and then up to the Cape next year.

Looks good mate, I just got back from pulling one of these out of our local lakeshore, they seem like a pretty good rig, just a little low when standard.

Just a little to low,

trip 1 fraser island

Tore off both side steps, ripped of front bash plate letting sand build up below the radiator pushing the radiator into the bottom of the bonnet dinting it. Tore power steering belt to shreds (fark in heavy steering with no power).

trip 2 to fraser

Chequer plate bash plate, steel sliders and 40mm lift alls good now.

Hmm... I was thinking of a lift kit a bit further down the track, after my trip to Fraser, it looks like I should fork out the coin before not after....

Yeah I would recomend it, and remove the stock side steps.:thumb:
You'll do more damage with them on. Other than that they are good on the sand about 25psi and if your lucky at Indian head you might be able to recover a 120 series prado.:thumb:

I pull out 100 series crusers with my MQ shorty so I'm sure the navara can handle it ;)

That's the go mate, looks a treat (nice colour too) :thumb:

Get ready to get rid of those Continental tires.... they will let you down the moment you get off the black stuff.

Cheers guys, I will get some taller profile tyres for a little more clearance when the ones I have now pass their use by date. Most of me off-road driving will be on sand. Im not sure what tyre Im gonna get though, most proberly some Cooper AT tyres.
