I haven't got any room in my vehicle for a fridge(waeco cf-50),so it is going to find a home in my trailer.I have a 36 amp hour battery which will keep it running for a day or so.I would like to know how to wire up my fridge and battery,so that the fridge runs off the car battery, and the battery can be charging while driving. Then when we set up camp, what is the best way to keep the battery charging,so the fridge keeps running.Everything needs to be in the trailer,as I really don't have any room in the paj for storage.

I have friends that are running these units and they are happy.
I also think there is a member here who sells or makes these units..

Or one of these:
ARRID TWINCHARGE BATTERY CHARGE CONTROLLERThe Twin Charge Battery Charger is a major breakthrough for charging a second battery through the 12 volt system of a vehicle. Previously the only systems available to charge a second battery from a vehicle were solenoid, diode or percentage switching systems. Unfortunately all of these systems can reduce battery life, due to failure to fully charge the second battery.

Features
Overcomes charging problems of voltage loss due to resistance along cables
Overcomes charging problems caused by having batteries of different sizes and ages
Distance between batteries not important- allows second battery to be installed in caravan or trailer
Ensures second battery is fully charged, reducing battery sulphation and increasing battery lifeMaximum charging at 20 amps Can not overcharge batteries- inbuilt charge controller

Which one / ones in particular the Traxide?? or ARRID TWINCHARGE BATTERY CHARGE CONTROLLER??
Could you explain a little more about how they are failing.. and what you think is causing the failure..??
