Hi Rod,

We picked it up on monday and still packing it all full of our gear. We hope to get away for its first outing soon. Might be a little chilly at night in this weather!! Ive only got a short time off work before I go back overseas so it might have wait till I get back from the next stint away.
Very happy with it so far, it tow's brilliantly even behind the wifes Rav4. Followed the Rav from Brisbane to Grafton no worries at all. Little Rav has to work on the hills but otherwise no complaints. Looking at getting rid of the Rav and getting a Prado, that should complete the set up.

I need to get a fridge for it though. Any comments on what to buy from anyone what they have found good and bad etc.??

Cheers,
Troy.

I run a 40l Engle fridge.. they are a bit more expensive, but I like the metal body as opposed to the plastic.

but everyone is different..

I have already braced myself for all the comments!! It was the only spacy area I could get to for some pics as the Cruiser is not registered at the moment. Is just at the end of my street.

I put the camper in last week to have the awning enclosed. Popped in yesterday and I will be done today or tomorrow. Will have to set it up and get some pics to put up. Looking at going away but its a bit bloody cold this time of yr! might have to go north for a bit, with a powered site so we can take the heater!!

This is our camper set up (i know in the back yard) as I have installed the power system for it. I have put in a 240V plug in the side so I can just hook up external power to go to the onboard charger and to the power board.. I also installed LED lights on the inside and under the awning. We are off up to hastings point tomorrow for a week for the shake down trip. I didn't make it back from work in time to go to the spring gully meet but hope to het to one of them in the near future.

Well Hastings was a wash out! We come back early as it was just pissing down with rain all the time. We had a lovely day on sunday, monday was ok too but after that it was just miserable. Stuck in the camper all day, so when there was a break inbetween showers we packed up and got out of there.
Was really pleased with the camper since it was its first outing. No leaks in all the wind and rain which was the main thing. Very comfortable and easy to set up, very happy with it. Even the mrs loves it!

We finally got the Prado a few weeks ago, very happy with it too. Haven't had a chance to hook the camper up yet and see how it tows. Looking at heading away next week when I get all my jobs done, thinking about Moreton Isld. All depending on how the weather goes, if these storms are still hanging around I think we might just go somewhere local and have a fish there for a few days. Here is a pic of the new ride. Installing dual batt, rhino rack this week.

I cant believe how great it is on diesel. I have done 700k on three quarters of a tank. (90l). It also goes like the clap, put my foot down even in top gear on the hwy and it pulls like a train from 1800rpm. before I know it I'm up to 140km/hr. REALLY HAPPY!

Thats great news mate, the petrol isnt that frugal but I can live with it, Like you I am really impressed with them they are typical Toyota. They dont do anything really exciting but they just do everything so well.

Nice looking camper and congrats on the new prado mate.

Camper is a 2005 model. Only done 2 trips when I bought it. Old couple with too much money, they went and bought a motor yacht and didnt use it..
