Yeah a rear bar/wheel carrier, a winch, and maybe some FC2's. nothing to crazy its a daily driver so i want to keep it more cruiser than hardcore.

geeez i just looked its been nearly 3 years since i updated my thread
in that time there have been a couple of additions to the bus
i found a 2nd hand kaymar bar/carrier in the trading post so that went on. then i picked up a set of 2nd hand mtr's with about 35000ks on them. then an ironman 9500lb winch was fitted and some rated recovery points on the front. a cargo barrier and home made shelf to go beside the 60l waeco on a black widdow slide in the back. a gme 3220 uhf. i've done most of the work myself but when i finally talked the minister for war and finance into alowing an air locker to be fitted i left that to the experts. next was a onboard air system with a typhoon compressor into a 16 l tank. the regulator died a while back and killed a battery (apparently they don't accept 22 volts to well) so a redarc isolator, optima red top and pirhana volt guage went in. then a pirhana superloom and some heavier globes to brighten things up a bit.and a power shower for camping in the camper trailer we bought i also bought a 2nd set of wheels and tyres cause the mtrs are getting well down now so a set of silverstone mt117 sports on black sunnies are now my play tyres. i think thats about it so far hopefully i'll keep up to date better in future

looks can be decieving i took to the cargo area with a vacuum cleaner the other day :
i couldn't believe the difference it made !!!
and this whole DIY thing can really be stressfull when you stuff something up i checked and re checked and triple checked the position when i drilled the hole for the snorkel .
i got it right but it was bloody scary.

ATARI

hey wreckingball, how do the MT-117 sports compare to the MT/R's when driven on the road?

i'm on my 2nd set of MT/R's & i know i won't be going for the new style & the MT-117's are on the short list for replacements.

hi atari i've only done 170 ks on them so far and it was dry they handled ok and were quieter than i expected although there was another bloke on the same trip who had them and he said they'll get noisier as they wear other than that i can't give you much info except to say i bought mine on rims as play tyres with the intention of running the mtr's out and replacing with some all terrains for road work . i decided to go that way as i was concerned that the 117's would wear out fast on road that and the fact they were the same price on rims as baja claws were on their own

lol cheers mate. im trying :) we went to wombat on sunday, a hilux with 35 simex drove that hole but it was a machine. also a 75 cruiser with
f&r lockers made it after a few attempts. :) go get your revenge before they grade it all
