I kept the 92 Cruiser I owned back in 2005 when I last posted here, and my eldest son now drives it.
Both vehicles now sport LPG Conversions from Dieselgas Australia.

I would have to say that so far - (~5000km's each) I'm very pleased with the gas conversions. My tests on the 4.2 TD Cruiser show increase 2Mpg and a reduction of $0.02c/km with the gas. Cruiser now sports lifted springs/new shocks in the rear and ARB longranger tank (175litres) replacing the standard 50litre aux tank. With the standard underfloor tank 90 litres, the ARB Aux tank @ 175, and the LPG tank at 116 litres....she goes a couple thousand Km's easey without refueling! The raised springs help her carry all that fuel at the rear without draggin her butt like a dog with worms!.
Effie is likewise sporting ARB Longranger 275ltr tank and 145litres LPG and while towing the 3.5 tonnes a recycled beercans in the pic above, gets between 10 and 11.5 mpg @ 100km's! 1000 Miles sees her looking thirsty!
The list of mods to Effie is long and expensive - most aimed at longevity for towing as opposed to hotting her up for more hp...
All the same the LPG gives her 20 something HP gain over standard,
