Mine's a Prado with an air mattress in it, lol.

I've got an OzTrail dome for longer stays, but looking into getting a rooftop (probably a cheap e-bay version)

i got a cheap timberline 3 man from Big W. Spent 2 nights down the coast and it didnt stop raining for both nights!! the days were clear but nights were terrible and the tent held up very well to my suprise!! only about 2-3 drops all night!! pretty good considering the money!! and this tent is over 3 years old and gets used about 3-4 times a year.

The Coleman broke down after 1.5 years and took to long to pitch. Now I've got a BlackWolf Turbo 300. Fantastic! You can use it without the fly, 20 seconds, 4 pegs and done. With the standard fly it's another 8 pegs and 50 seconds. An extension with a deluxe fly and side panels is also possible.

Only problem is to get the tent back in the carry bag and where to put a 143 x 34 x 35cm bag. There is already a roof sack on the roof rack.

i have a oztrail headland dome tent. Sleeps up to 12 S.A.P. (S.A.P. for small arsed people). it's a huge tent, takes ages to set up, but i (6'2" tall) can stand up in it. I love it.great for 2 or more nights. 1 or 2 nights, we are in the swags.

We have about hree large canvas tents of varying styles. You can stand up in them and you can run a gas heater in winter wthout worrying about setting them on fire. Oh people laughed about the heater until that wild and stormy night up in the Brindies when we gave them hot drinks and refuge from their leaking nylon jobbies.

nothing wrong with the canvas tents. good for 2 or more days, and just about weather proof!

I use a 16 man double dome . I dont use the extra outside fly ropes and the whole thing takes 15 minutes to set up . One room sleeps 2 adults and 2 children and the other room is for ports/camping storage etc . A 3mtr x 3mtr expanding gazebo sits in front of the tent with two 6x3 folding plastic moulded tables (1 for eating and 1 for cooking) and 4 chairs .

Ive got 2 yes 2 oz trail extended tourers (me,missus, and 3 kids) we go in comfort with stretchers. A big canvas 3 room tent for longer stays which I am going to sell when I get a chance to put it up and take some photos of it as no longer needed. Best tent I've now got is my offroad campertrailer, fits us all in and does'nt take long to set up. Customline offroad deluxe, great camper, good quality canvas and reasonably priced compared to some.:thumb:

Hi Ive just purchased a EPE speedy tent as I was after some thing easy to set up and had enough of the cheapies being a pain to erect.
The speedy is two person and a light nylon design.......perfect for a couple traveling in a very small 4by where the bulk of a swag is not ideal.
Just throw it in the air and throw two pegs in the ground and your done.
Getting it back into the bag is easy once it has been practiced.
It is flat when stored and easy to throw it the back of the 4by, but is not a ideal shape for back packing.
The fly is built in and is no extra set up time.
I think this style of tent will take off in coming years as the advantages are great.
The draw backs with the speedy is its light weight design...ie ..back packing and this limits the design to high tec nylon and this shows in the floor I beleave will rip on rough ground.
When someone does this design in rip stop canvas and a slightly larger three man size the small tent market will not be the same again.
The speedy was purchased through barbques galiour for 140 dollars and I think this price will drop more as the tent is made in china and should be cheap to produce, especially when a bit of retail competion sets in.
These tents are selling very well a present with everyone locally being sold soom as it demo.
For a light two man tent well worth a look if you can find one.
Regards Ron.

OZTrail 15'x12' canvas job for the family trips (bloody HUGE tent - takes 3 beers to set up). Double Swag for myself, I am thinking of buying 1 of those OZTrail Tourer 9 tents as Boof set his up in about as long as it took me to do the swag & he can stand up in his.

The two of us on a queen mattress with my 2 year old in his porta-cot in one room, and all the other stuff in the other room. Great head height, can fully stretch (I'm 6'), very waterproof - we've been in a storm at Inskip with small branches fallign on the tent.

For overnighter we have a litte 4 man dome that the QS mattress goes in for us all to sleep well. Had it for about 5 years now, it was all we have before Declan came along.

I use an Oztrail Tourer 9 Plus which I find brilliant. I can get a queen size mattress in there and still have room for the camp box and esky. It's done well from 45 degrees plus days to zero degree nights in the rain. It can be setup and collapsed by yourself all though it's good to have a spare pair of hands.

the speedytent is great just a bugger to pack into the zook (think big circular disk shape) and never get tired of the people struggling to set up theirs and the look on their face when yours is up in 2 seconds. :D

Our canvas Black Wolf Turbo 240 is working great for us. It has survived some heavy rain and kept us dry on our current trip. It's very well designed and fast to set up.

We've got a 9' and a 13' Southern Cross canvas tent.
Only a few minutes to set up, I've done it in the dark... no torch.
Fantastic in bad weather.
I'm 6'5" and I can stand up to get dressed.
They are expensive, but I've seen the cheap versions and I'll happily pay for better quality, better design etc.
