Hi All
Was thinking of getting one of these babies(see link below)!!!!!

http://www.gme.net.au/garmin/gpsmap76csx.php

Is there anyone out there who owns one and what do you think of it?...or do you know of someone who has one and any feedback on it.

I am going to use it mainly going bush with own waypoints etc, but will probably also use it for city stuff (doing a MAMMOTH tour next year from Oz overland to London so primary use will be then)

There are so many of the bloody things to choose from and it is hard to find unbiased info from sales people, because they obviously want to sell what they have on the shelf. Also thinking of the 60 Csx maybe...
Confused!!!!

IMHO it all comes down to screen size. I recently purchased the Magellan eXplorist XL after comparing with the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx and chose is purely based on the size of the screen. Even with the large screen on the XL I sometimes wish it was bigger.

Mate I've got the Garmin GPSMAP76CS (x wasn't out yet) and I absolutely love it. Had it now for nearly 2 years. Use it in the 4WD and the boat. If I lost it today I would buy exactly the same unit.

Thanks for all the replies so far. So what do you charge for these Raider80? I was thinking of getting it from the US...

I went to have a look at some units over the weekend. The unit seems very nice - loads of functions. I was also looking at the 60 Csx. From my understanding and speaking to the person at the shop, the main difference between the 76 Csx and the 60 Csx is that the 76 model can float. Besides from that and of course the size, not much else that is different.
