Looking at getting a PDA to run Copilot 6 and OziExplorer CE on and I was wondering if a VGA screen offers any real world advantage.

Most normal PDas are what is called quarter VGA. A full VGA screen is expensive but very clear and can be run at greater resolutions. I don't know whether they are of any real benefit for GPS work, as I run a Dell X51v / Windows Mobile 5 and the resolution of this screen seems to be about as small as I would like to display data.
