G,,day .has any one had experience with the gps side of this unit?. i have the opportunity to acquire ,any info appreciated, thanks ,kerry.
Yes, I had three of those incredibly retarded phones. Absolute shite. Takes FOR EVER to gain a fix on start up, updates eratically (one day I was driving in a 60 zone and it told me I was doing 430 km/h). The Sensis driven map software is average at best, the device spends at least 70% of the time telling you to do a u-turn before wasting another 45 seconds to resolve and download a new route.
Best bet is to use it as a PDA (if you can keep it working long enough) or as a coffee table (it's large enough) and just buy yourself a cheap GPS for GPS duties.

Iv had one fore about 3 month's and im absolutly loving it. Ok its not the best gps unit but it does the job fine im using destinator 6 although its not ment to be compatable the only problem is the screen size. For the price i think its a bargin it was my first pda and i will continue to buy pda's from now. Havin the gps reciever built in is a huge plus.
I also work in a phone shop so if you need any info let me no
i got mine from dick smiths for $375

Well, I've got an iPAQ and running Destinator is frustrating - takes ages to get a lock and is always telling me to do U-turns, recalculating routes, etc.
A pain in the proverbial.
