In an effort to control the recent influx of spam bots registering with our forum, all new members email addresses are being screened before you become a Registered User. While this is happening you won't be able to make new threads.

Your account should start working within a couple of days, sometimes much less (time permitting.) Sometimes longer if over the weekend. You should recieve an automated email once it's verified. Please don't message to ask why it doesn't work unless it has been more than 3 days from when you registered as it will be simply due to it not being activated yet.

If you have been registered for some time and it still won't work; odds are like most people that message me you haven't activated your account by clicking the link in the email you would have been automatically sent. The usual cultprit for this is your junk mail folder catching the email as spam. If you have joined and your activation email was lost somehow, send me a private message letting me know and i will track down your account.

Jump on to the vB forums, theres a HUGE thread there with partial emails you can put on the ban list, definately helped with my forum.

I already have, nothing is foolproof though and i'm still deleting ~ half a dozen spam accounts daily. Not worth the risk of opening the flood gates...

Me toooooo. It's starting to give me the poops! When I fill out the form to send me an email with my username and password (which I already know) no email arrives. Frustrating to say the least, but I'm sure that there must be a simple explaination.......or maybe not.:cry:

Just in case anybodys confused:

The Shed and Forum are two separate applications so you need to create an account for both of them to log in to both because they're not connected in any way.

You can use the same username and password for both or two different ones. Just remember that if you use the same username and password for both changing your password in the forum wont change in the Shed unless you go to the Shed and change it in there as well.

99% of the time email domains that are similar to yours are spam bots registering so they are not permitted. When an email address is denied, there should be a link in the denial email which allows you to respond and explain your intentions. Obviously a spammer would never do this.

Just looked him up, he was one of the 1000+ memebrs yet to verify themselves by clicking the link in the auto email - Like every forum registration ;)

He's now registered. We can't know about these people untill they contact us, though I don't know who he contacted it wasn't me.

Those who never got (spam filter?) or clicked the email link and can't post can still pm - so pm me ;)

Hello Admin,


I’ve been a member for a couple of months and have huge difficulty replying to posts. The 1st thing I do is log in, I’m welcomed in, the browser redirects me, I read read read and then reply and then I’m told that I don’t have the privilege to post I’m asked to refresh the page, log in again (but I never logged out) but after spending minutes crafting my post I cant even cut n paste that in order to resubmit the post and all is lost, I grab my bucket n spade and leave. It’s happened 4 times now, how I managed (earlier) to get any posts in in the 1st place must have been an amazing feat, the deal is I am unable to replicate that feat.


I’m not even attempting that method this time as I’ve done this dialogue using a word processor and then will have cut n pasted it where I hope u see it now. I only have a chance of a few minutes at a time to get in during the day and I find I’ve been unwittingly logged out already, what’s going on?


I look forward to an explanation how I overcome this drama.

G'Day Danny, sorry about the delay mate I missed this post (Announcements need cleaning up!)

A few people have the same issue as you on the odd occasion. Normally the solution is; when you log in make sure there is a tick in the 'Remember Me' box. It should be as simple as that, I haven't had to 'Log in' to this forum for months as mine was checked when I signed in. ;)
