What, if anything, do members know of the new arrangement between Magellan GPS and Hema Maps. I've heard that they are forming an association of the 2 companies to bring Hema digital maps to the Magellan GPS recievers, much like the Discover Aus series of Topo maps. Knowing the quality of the Hema maps I'm keen to find out more and also so to know if the currentlly available GPS units will be compatible with the New Hema digital maps or if the software will need to be upgraded or what. Also If anyone knows when these maps will become available that would be useful too.

Yeah, I know I ask a lot of questions but hell, it's my money, I want to spend it wisely.

Talk to these guys they seem to know there stuff and they have some of the best magellan deal going. I've rung them a couple of time with magellan 600 questions and they were happy to help, including recommending i buy one overseas when i go to the US for 4months riding around and just get the mapbase change when i come back if i need it.

It'll cost $300 to get it changed but if i put discoverAus tracks and topo they don't think i'll need it.
