Looks good mate!
I might have to get something similar made up! But mine is a 17inch widescreen so may be slightly harder to make?
Here's a pic of mine, works grouse swivels as well.
Cheers

that looks pretty cool i was woundering how to mount a laptop in a hilux neatly
Nice work, both of you....but I wonder about the life expectancy of the laptops. Single mounting points will aways vibrate much more that multiple mountings. You will both need to pay close attention to the hinges of your screens and also back-up your hard disks often (the G forces exerted when in the "rough stuff" are going to test your hard disks thoroughly.)
Additionally, having the units so far to the side is going to make using them on the run pretty dangerous. Try it, you'll see what I mean. (Been there, done that, now mount mine against the dash in front of the stereo and air-con controls.)
For those about to embark on the whole PC/GPS thing, think about using a tablet PC or a Panasonic CF-18 Toughbook. No open screen and hinge issues to worry about.
Just an update on how the laptop table is going, Grouse.
So far we have been all over the High country areas as often as we can get up there, Neerim, Woods point & Big River to name a few. The terrain has been verrry bumpy and on fast dirt tracks the laptop has handled the bumps & bangs well. My swivel table is nearly in the middle of the dash and if I place it centred on the table I can have it in the middle of the dash and butt it up to the vents to stop the screen shakinging around on the ruff stuff.
The position is the pics are perfect for the navi to use too. I can see all mirrors and front gaurds when in this position too.
The front camera hasn't faired so well though, the vibrations have killed it and it goes into freeze mode. On Abbott link track it froze while going down the steep drop off and I was watching the screen to determine how deep the drop off was ...... looked & felt scary as I knew the front tires were off the ledge heading down wards but the screen showed I was still driving just off the top ledge and the brain was thinking this is going to be a massive thump at the bottom (4-5' for sure) and in reallity it was only a 2' drop (made me dak ma duds though :) )

How are you guys mounting the laptop to the table?
Cheers, Jack
I used a big bit of Velcro.
It cover's the whole table and the laptop is very stable.
You have to be carefull when trying to get the Laptop off

Or you could go here and get a custom made one that is very stable A sponge behind the screen and the dash, stops shake. With the one in the link you can get an ajustable arm to attach to the top of the screen to stop shake and provide additional support

Cost about $330
